In October, during the 58th IDEA Colloquium, Win & Winnow had the huge honor of receiving the 2022 IDEA Award for Institutional Excellence. The company has almost 20 years of experience, history, and effort, and this recognition of its trajectory boosts the whole team to keep going forward with renewed energy and commitment.
What’s IDEA in Argentina?
The Institute for the Development of Argentinian Business, IDEA for its acronym in Spanish (Instituto para el desarrollo empresarial de la Argentina), is the most important business organization in the country. Its mission is to promote the growth and competitiveness of Argentinean companies. It has more than 50 years of organizing an annual colloquium that looks to debate the future of business and industry in the country.
Every year, their emblematic Colloquium takes place, gathering leading company representatives and the government sector. In 2022, during the 58th colloquium, there were guests such as the Argentinian President, journalists from the main media, and CEOs of leading companies in both Argentina and the world. This event is where they discuss trends, plans, and objectives for the private sector in Argentina. Everybody turns their attention to what happens during each colloquium.
Women Entrepreneurship awarded
Each year, during the closing ceremony, two awards for Institutional Excellence are delivered, one for SMEs, and one for big corporations. This year was different, it was the first that both awards were received by women. Cecilia Calónico, Win & Winnow CEO, received the prize for SMEs, and Claudia Boeri, CEO of SAP Latam South, the one for corporations.

We have been working for women’s empowerment and professional development for many years. That is why it was such an honor not only to be awarded this prize but also to be part of a step this big for women entrepreneurs in Argentina.
What does the IDEA award recognize?
The aim of this award is to celebrate good business practices as a whole, this is not an award that looks exclusively at diversity policies, quality, or sustainability, for example. IDEA recognizes institutional excellence as a whole: good practices, talent, and effort, among others. It awards those companies that give an example to future generations and spearhead the country’s progress.
This is why the award means a huge recognition of our years of effort, good business practices, and commitment to being one of the best companies for the world.
What does this mean in retrospective and looking forward?
“Everybody in the Win & Winnow team has worked so hard to grow as a company while striving for a positive impact”, says Cecilia Calónico. This award takes the business to the big leagues and opens many doors. “I remember going to IDEA events 15 years ago and dreaming of being “at the table”. Achieving this recognition has definitely brought us there, and I can’t help to think that effort does pay off. Opportunity arrives if you prepare for it. This award that values our company with a 360° perspective is huge for Win & Winnow”, adds Cecilia Calónico.
The award is a boost to keep moving, a “good job” to what we have been doing, and a push to strive to be a little better every day.
