Since 2023, Win & Winnow joined the AmCham Business Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This move goes in line with our commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace and expanding this to other members of the private sector and society as a whole.
What is the AmCham Business Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion?
AmCham Business Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was created in an effort to institutionalize its objectives and accompany companies to add or accelerate the incorporation of corporate policies in DEI, in line with the experience at the local and international level. The Chamber of Commerce of the United States in Argentina has carried out a diversity and inclusion program since 2020.
In this way – and taking into account the protection of human rights and corporate policies – the Council will annually select the priority dimensions for the formulation and execution of the work plan and will promote bilateral cooperation through various activities and training. Activities include:
- updating trends, data of interest associated with the subject,
- promoting good practices
- permanently searching for consistent measurement instruments
- establishing alliances with key organizations and institutions.
Why Win & Winnow joined the AmCham Business Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion have always been at the core of Win & Winnow. Throughout our business journey, we prioritize women’s empowerment and professional development. In 2020, we were certified as a Women-Owned Business by WEConnect International. This ensures that at least 51 percent of the business is owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. Seeking to expand and improve our DEI program, we took part in the program “Win-Win: Gender equality means good business”, implemented by UN Women, the International Labor Organization (ILO), and the European Union. As a result of the implementation of our action plan towards gender equality, we were granted the WEPs Award two years in a row.
Being a certified B Corporation and a member of the Global Compact has helped us expand our definition of diversity and develop internal policies that comprise aspects related to gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, race, and geographical origin. Currently, we seek to positively impact not only our team members but also the local communities where we operate, economically, socially and environmentally. That’s why we implemented a Supplier Diversity and Sustainability Program that reshapes our procurement strategies from a triple bottom line perspective.
