Win & Winnow Language Services was granted the Gold WEPs Award in the Small Business category in its first Argentina edition by UN Women.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the midst of a year that has been challenging in every possible way, we are proud to share the news that we were granted a recognition by UN Women. We won the Gold WEPs Award in the Small Business category in its first Argentina edition.<\/span> This recognition marks a milestone in a journey that we formally began in 2019 when we signed the commitment to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), an initiative of the UN Global Compact and UN Women.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I consider the WEPs to be a great framework for the actions that all companies should pursue,\u201d<\/span><\/i> said Cecilia Calonico, General Manager of Win & Winnow, in her speech.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

From commitment to action toward gender equality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In February, 31 small, medium, and large companies in Argentina were selected as finalists for the WEPs Argentina Award 2019<\/a> \u201cCompanies by Women\u201d \u2014 Win & Winnow Language Services was among them.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took part in the program “Win-Win: Gender equality means good business”<\/a>, implemented by UN Women, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the European Union. This allowed us to assess, train and detect points of improvement in an Action Plan towards Gender Equality that we concluded in October.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In December 2020, we received the highest recognition granted by UN Women to the small business category: Gold WEPs Award in the Small Business category. \u201cWe won!\u201d We celebrated with the team. What does that triumph mean? When we set out to measure success on our own terms, we took action towards generating a positive economic, social, and environmental impact.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the WEPs Awards<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The WEPs Argentina Award 2019 \u201cCompanies by women”<\/strong> aims to encourage, value and recognize the efforts of companies that promote gender equality and women\u2019s empowerment in Argentina. It follows the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), launched worldwide in 2010 by UN women and UN Global Compact. The WEPs is a holistic set of 7 principles that support business to advance gender equality in the workplace, marketplace and community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
